Evil Daughter

So I coerced my mom to drive 2 hours to spend the day with me, so that we could go cross-border shopping in Michigan. This desire had stemmed from a T-shirt that I saw online that I wanted. So she came (THANKS MOM!!!!) and we had lunch, then headed out north on the I-75 to Somerset Mall. Man what a great mall.....I was so excited. So anyways.....4 hours later, my mom had spent $230 and I had spent $37 (and this was me just spending for the sake of buying something in the last 20 minutes so my trip wouldn't be wasted!!). Bet my mom wasn't expecting that!!

We had a good day, topped off by a nice dinner with enough leftovers for 3 meals. All in all a great day. Passed by another rear-ender accident on the road...almost same location as the last one. Man, people should be more careful.

The story of how I got my new ring.

First off...something unrelated. Drivers in Windsor are crazy. Last night a young lady decided to turn left into a driveway, RIGHT into my path. I almost t-boned her. Luckily for her I don't honk much so she probably didn't even realize me slamming on my brakes. Tonight passed an accident right by my house. The roads are so weird and winding here...or MAYBE it's just me...maybe I'M the bad driver. Who knows.

Anyways....so I used to have this really part time season job selling jewelry for these two guys at fairs and stuff. They travel around to hospitals and malls all around Ontario. I worked for these guys maybe 2 weeks about 5 years ago. I've run into the one guy before at university and he asked me to work for an hour so he could go get some food...paid me some cash and never saw him again.

So I'm here in Windsor working at the hospital....and lo and behold, there is a sterling silver jewelry sale going on in the mezzanine....hmmm...sounds familiar. So I pop by and sure enough it's the guy I used to work for. He says, "Hey, you look familiar"..and I say, "Yeah I used to work for you 5 years ago." It took him about 10 seconds to register that (and not sure if he entirely did), and he said, "HEY! Why don't you work for me for a bit so I can go get some food?" (he really means go for a smoke). The funny thing is...I don't remember his name...and he doesn't remember mine. For all he knows, I could have been some Asian look-a-like wanting to scam some jewelry.

So all in all I worked 2 hours over 2 days, made $40 and scored a pretty nice free ring. Maybe I should quit being a resident haha.

Nope, I was wrong..the WORLD is crazy

Thanks for those "random" anonymous people who left generic comments about my last post. Um, yeah for sure I'll check out the Dental insurance link....when my teeth start rotting out. Anyways...if someone would like to leave some less generic comments that would be great. NO offense to the people who already left them....I just don't want my blog to become and ad fest. This really is a good time to talk about all the infiltration and sneaky ways that people are advertising these days. There's already enough product placement out there in movies, TV shows....magazines. People get advertising in hospital elevators, telephone bills, on free long distance phone calls. I guess blog advertising is just one more way to get me to buy breast augmentation. Haha....what?? Had to say SOMETHING to keep the guys interested.

Some random guy just added me to his MSN. Oh haha I know him...forget that. Good thing I didn't curse him out. Speaking of random MSN things....some random person messaged my friend Alex and said this:

"oh, sorry, learn from you, has to find my oct., you know someone after you, baby"

What???

Whatever. It's all shits n giggles over here in my lonely homestead. Watched the season premiere of the O.C., after watching the entire second season on DVD last week (I KNOW....I was BORED). So not worth it. Was very disappointed.

Friggen that Exorcism of Emily Rose just won't leave me alone!!! STOP PLAYING THE COMMERCIALS!! Stop playing commercials for the reviews of Exorcism of Emily Rose!!!

I AM going crazy

I just wrote a huge post and erased it all. SO ANNOYING. (Actually I did it twice, but the second time I had copied the text so here we go again)

Ok let me start from the beginning. I am working in a hospital in Windsor for a month. I thought it would be a good idea to get away for awhile, from parents and friends, to try to experience something new on my own. Well, I sure picked the wrong city to do that in. There is nothing to do here really. Except gamble. Or become a trucker. Or hang out at a gas station. I've even resorted to watching the same TV show twice in one night. At least I get the WB here...sure helps keep me company since I am living in a 3 bedroom house all by myself. In an industrial area across from a hospital. There is a bedroom on the 2nd floor, in an "attic" type room. After watching those Exorcism of Emily Rose commericals, I don't dare go up there at night. And everytime I come home I check my machine for messages even though no one has ever called me LOL.

I am down here working in internal medicine clinics. My supervisor is actually on vacation right now, so I've been working with his "understudy". This week he only has two half-day clinics so he told me to ask the administrative person to schedule me with someone to work with for the rest of the week. After much confusion and miscommunication later, I realized that this morning I missed a clinic that I was "supposed" to have attended (I did enjoy sleeping in though). Apparently he told the admin person that he talked to me and that he told me to go work with whoever my classmate was assigned to for the day. When I think about it, if I had actually HAD that conversation with him I might have known where to go this morning....especially considering I don't have the slightest clue who my classmate is working for, or even what clinic it is. Apparently I was not "worthy" enough to get a clinic schedule. So....I don't think I'm going crazy...

But maybe you can decide for yourself. I've been oversleeping a lot lately and I've been having really weird dreams. Yesterday I had one where I discovered that my mom was hiding baby dolphins in her car. I was getting really worried about them not being in water...but the only thing I could find was a bottle of juice. So I doused the dolphins in juice. Then I figured out I should get them back to the ocean or something, but that I had to keep them hidden from other people because they might call the police and have me arrested for keeping baby dolphins. So I wrapped up one in a blanket and took it with me to my new apartment. My new apartment was on the top floor of a house, except the house was like 5 or 6 stories tall. I just kept going up flights of narrow stairways. This house had about 20 other students living in it, and I was trying to hide the dolphin under my arm so they wouldn't find out (how I carried a dolphin under my arm is another story). So when I got to the top I decided to keep the dolphin in the bathtub. And for some reason, I thought I should also take a shower.

By the way....how come in dreams you can never get any privacy? Like in my dream if I'm ever trying to take a shower or go into a room by myself, there are never any walls or doors?? Does anyone else have dreams like that?

Anyways....the dolphin in my bathtub suddenly morphed into Sandra Bullock and then I woke up.
