I heart procrastination

I think it is what I do best. Sometimes I get even more stuff done when I'm procrastinating. Granted, the stuff I am getting accomplished isn't the stuff I need to be doing at the moment, but I do find it to be pretty productive.

There are some things that I will probably procrastinate on forever. Such as: cleaning my room, finishing the 3 novels that I started, travelling to the UK, paying off my debt, growing up.

I have 2 more full days to study for my big exam. That's a whole 48 hours of good prime studying. I will probably be sleeping for 24 of those hours. And eating for 5 of them. And procrastinating for 20 of them. Oh wait, that's a total of 49 hours. Haha.

There are six movies I want to see in the theatres right now. Or maybe they're not in the theatres anymore. Who knows. After this weekend, I'm going to see them all. Even if I have to see them by myself.

I hate telemarketers. I honestly feel for those people who have to do that job. Everyone hates them. Especially me.

My mom saw a commercial for that new TV show called 3 lbs, the one about the brain surgeon or something. She said, "My brain is probably 2 and a half pounds." :)

Ok enough procrastinating.

Oh my god.

THE MICE. PLURAL. They are scurrying around and squealing. RIGHT ABOVE MY HEAD.........

Table for one

Today my supervisor asked me if I was depressed and if I wanted to talk to a counsellor. She kept on bugging me about it all week. Am I really that stressed out??? I don't usually take my problems to work with me. I guess she is just really perceptive. Because I'm not really letting my work slip or anything...I just mentioned to her that I wasn't sleeping very well.

Anyways. How come you can never find 1% milk in the 500 mL size but you can get 2%, 5% table cream, 10% cream, half and half, and skim? And how come I can't find Breyer's Banana chocolate chunk ice cream?

And I didn't know that if you cross the street mid-block it's not considered jay-walking.

A mouse just crawled above my head in the ceiling. At least....I think it's a mouse. Better be...I mean...at least it's not a bat or something.

I always marvel at how small some portions look in high end restaurants, but how full you are afterwards. I had the most delicious dessert today...called a mochaccino, but I could only eat 1/3 of it. I was pretty disappointed. And it wasn't one of those things you could take home either.

My landlord came down tonight and asked me too if everything was going alright. I was like, uh..did my supervisor call you or something?! I told him a friend of mine was coming to visit me this weekend and was it okay if he slept on the couch. He said, sure, no problem, don't worry, we won't be coming down to bother you this weekend.....and I hope he didn't think we'd be...up to something...

I don't know how this turned into a random thoughts post. It was going to have a beginning, middle, and end.

Ode to a Sundance

This is my old car. I have had it for 8 years. I shared it with my sister and we drove it from 6,000 kms to 98,000 kms. I decided it is time to retire the little one and get a more...shall we say...reliable car. She will be missed. Maybe her new owner will find her a 4th hubcap.

Now I'm not sure what price to set her at, as she has low kms and is in pretty good condition (despite the hubcap!). So I asked the dealership where I got my new car what they would price it at...and they said....$250. PFFFT! My tires are worth more than that. I was flipping through the paper the other day and this is what I found:

$2495!! What! Is this person crazy? Who would pay that much for a '94 Sundance! Someone buy my Sundace for that much pleeeeeeease.

It's been a craptastic day

This morning, I woke up and wanted to go back to sleep. I do that every morning, but especially today...was the worst. I was so out of it this morning that I forgot to bring my lunch to work and forgot to eat breakfast. Good thing there was coffee. It's one of those days where you feel sick but have absolutely no symptoms.

My boss gave me half of her sandwich, even though there were free sandwiches in the fridge. She's cool.

I had to see a 72 year old patient today who was complaining about how she couldn't have sex because it was too "dry" down there. Lovely. At least you're healthy enough to focus on that.

Went to Chapters today to study. Spent about 1 1/2 hours there. On my way back to my temporary house (in Waterloo)...I figured, I've done this drive before, should be easy.....35 minutes later, I'm completely confused and have no idea what direction I'm heading in. I mean, how can you start out going South....and turn right only to find out that you're headed ....South? I don't think I've ever been more frustrated on the road before. I also managed to drive in a complete circle.

Then I came home to find out that my friend's father passed away today. I didn't know him that well, but it's really sad because it is one of my best friends. And the fact that I'm living here by myself with no friends nearby makes it even harder. Good thing I'm going home tomorrow.

There are mice in here that run across the floor and crawl in the ceiling.
